Sunderland have signed Marseille captain and Albania midfielder Lorik Cana on a four-year contract. The pile-up caused chaos on this stretch of the German autobahn near Hanover. A total of 259 cars were involved in a series of shunts late on Sunday. The accidents took place on a 30-kilometre stretch of the A2 road. Heavy rain and low-lying sun have been blamed. But police say many drivers were traveling too quickly for the weather conditions.
